Parkland Crop Diversication - Roblin, MB

It is my pleasure to recommend the construction services of Newton Enterprises.

The company acted as a general contractor for the construction of a 48' x 42' insulated, metal-clad shop. The quotation and project development phase was smooth. Len Dupasquier, who oversaw the project, was excellent for prompt communication and reliable coordination.

I visited the site almost every day during the construction phase, and can verify that the workmanship of the concrete and in-floor heating, the 2x6 walls and trusses, insulating and metal cladding are all of top quality. After building completion, any minor deficiencies were accounted for in a user-friendly and dependable manner.

Please consider Newton Enterprises for your construction needs. I recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

St. Michael Eritraen Orthodox Tewahdo Church - Winnipeg, MB

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the congregation of St. Michael Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to your company for the efficient completion of the renovation project on our church at 357 Dufferin Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba that spanned between late 2016 and September 2017. St. Michael EOTC is very grateful for all of the commitment to the task and the dedicated professionalism shown by your Project manager, Prakash Ladd and your site Supervisor, Peter Major.

They have demonstrated throughout the project’s launch to completion a tremendous amount of dedication and good will. They were not only very responsive to our many and varied requests, but were also very understanding of our not so rich financial situations. Prakash Ladd in particular as gone beyond the call of duty to ensure that this project would be successful while taking our budget limitations in to consideration. He has fought hard while taking our budget limitations into consideration. He has fought hard with sub-contractors on our behalf to reduce prices on a number of fronts. For that we are very thankful. We have made several phone calls to Peter Major and he had always responded cheerfully despite the fact that often times it was way after regular working hours.

Peter is a fine young man fully committed to his work. We are very thankful for his commitment to the task as well. Newton Enterprises, through Brad Dick, has also been very supportive in our quest for a quality job. Brad has come on site several times and conducted several fruitful meetings with our Board members. Your understanding of our situation and the efforts you made to help us achieve our goal was extremely helpful.

We hope to see you again on some future projects around our church in the not-too-distant future.

May God bless you all!
Thank you.

- Aaron Mehzenta, on behalf of the Board of Directors, St. Michael EOTC

Portage Clinic Inc. - Portage, MB

Over the past 2 years I have served as the Project Manager for the Portage Clinic Expansion project.  This project involved the expansion from an existing 11,000 sq ft, 24 exam room doctors' clinic, to a 37,000 sq ft facility with 48 exam rooms, expanded auxiliary service rooms, expanded seating and parking capabilities, and retail and commercial office space.

Early in the planning process, our group contracted Newton Enterprises to serve as the General Contractor for this design-build project.  Newton was actively involved in the project right from the initial owner planning process, to architectural and engineering planning, and through to final completion of Phase I construction.  They continue to be actively involved as we enter Phase II construction.

Throughout the project, Newton has been a valued partner.  They provided valuable input and experience as we progressed through the planning process to architectural drawings.  They managed the sub-trade tender process professionally and were always very conscientious about monitoring tender compliance and pricing, and consistently acted in the owners' best interests.  Throughout construction, Newton proved very capable and efficient in managing sub-trades and ensuring work was completed on-time and up-to-standard.  Their follow-up on deficiencies and attention to detail has been excellent.

Based on my experience with the Portage Clinic Expansion project, I would highly recommend Newton Enterprises as a General Contractor for this type of project.

Sincerely,

- Brent Tarr, Project Manager, Portage Clinic Expansion, Portage, MB

Youth for Christ - Brandon, MB

Over the past 12 years I have served as the director of Youth for Christ Brandon.  During this time, we have asked Newton Enterprises to complete several building projects for our organization.  Two of these projects included a 7600 square foot 12 plex with geothermal heating and an infill (35X100 ft lot) 8 apartment pocket suite.  The 12 plex was built on reclaimed land in downtown Brandon while the pocket suites were constructed on a converted parking lot.  Pocket housing is new to Brandon, as this was the first project of its kind in our city.  The innovativeness of the project brought with it special concerns for building codes, zoning bylaws as well as the need for building variances.  The high visibility in the local press added an extra level of scrutiny from the general public and local officials.  Newton and their subtrades handled the extra pressure very well.
